Privacy Policy.
In plain language: what data may be processed, why it is used, how it is protected and what rights you can exercise.
Data controller
Ana Lúcia Domingues, psychologist with OPP Professional Licence no. 019584 and telemedicine establishment registered with the ERS under no. E183765, is responsible for personal data processed in connection with enquiries and the services she provides. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email ana.lsdomingues@gmail.com.
Data collected
Depending on how you contact Ana or use the services, the following may be processed:
- name, email address and phone number;
- information needed for booking, invoicing and session management;
- health data and other information shared in the clinical context, subject to enhanced protection and professional confidentiality;
- minimal technical data needed to provide and secure the website.
The contact form does not send or store data on this website. It prepares a message that you may choose to send through WhatsApp.
Purposes and lawful bases
Data is processed to answer enquiries, arrange and manage sessions, provide psychological support, comply with legal, tax and professional duties, and protect the security of the service.
Depending on the purpose, processing is based on pre-contractual steps or performance of a contract, legal obligations, the provision of health care by a professional bound by confidentiality and, where appropriate, your consent.
Confidentiality and health data
Clinical information is processed only in a professional context and under the duty of confidentiality. For a first enquiry, please do not send detailed clinical information by form, email or WhatsApp. It can be discussed during a session in a more appropriate setting.
Sharing and service providers
Data is never sold or shared for marketing. Where necessary, it may be processed by providers of:
- email, telephone and WhatsApp;
- video calls;
- website hosting and security;
- invoicing or accounting support, where applicable.
Each external service also applies its own terms and privacy policy.
International transfers
Some technology providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, processing should rely on appropriate legal safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Data is retained only for as long as necessary for its purpose and applicable obligations. Professional records connected to psychological care are kept for the minimum period required by applicable professional standards, currently five years after the end of the intervention. Tax documents are kept for statutory periods.
Enquiries that do not lead to sessions will be deleted when no longer needed.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing where applicable, and withdraw consent where it is the relevant lawful basis. Some requests may not be fulfilled when a legal or professional duty requires retention.
To exercise your rights, contact ana.lsdomingues@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with Portugal's National Data Protection Commission.
Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to limit unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. No internet transmission is completely risk-free; please avoid sending sensitive clinical information through general contact channels.
Cookies and language preference
The website does not use its own advertising or analytics cookies. Your PT/EN preference may be stored locally on your device. The hosting provider may process technical data strictly necessary to provide and protect the website.
